1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account: email address, username, display name, bio, and avatar image. We also collect prompts and content you create on the platform.

2. How We Use Information

Your information is used to: provide and improve the service, personalize your experience, communicate with you about the platform, and ensure compliance with our Terms of Service.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on cloud infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting. We may use analytics services to understand platform usage. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can manage most information through your account settings page.

7. Chrome Extension Data Handling

The PromptForge Chrome Extension ("the Extension") operates with the following data practices:

  • Active Tab Access: The Extension reads prompt content from AI chat sites (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) only when you click the Extension icon and manually save. No data is read automatically or in the background.
  • No Local Storage: The Extension does not store any data locally. Authentication status is verified on each use via a server request.
  • Data Transmission: When you save a prompt, the title and content are sent to our servers via HTTPS. This data is stored in your PromptForge account and subject to the same protections as all platform data.
  • Pre-Auth Requests: When you open the Extension popup, requests are sent to our server to check your authentication status and load trending prompts. These requests include your IP address and occur even if you are not signed in. No other browsing data is transmitted.
  • No Tracking: The Extension does not collect analytics, usage data, or browsing history beyond the active tab interaction described above.
  • No Third-Party Sharing: The Extension does not share data with third parties, serve ads, or use analytics SDKs.
  • Minimal Permissions: The Extension only requests permissions necessary for its core function: saving prompts from AI chat sites to your PromptForge account.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
